Your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours are rooted in wise survival strategy. There’s beauty and
intelligence in even the most misunderstood aspects of yourself. I endeavour to hold a space conducive to the befriending and integration of such parts.
I attend to clients from a relational, somatic, and parts-informed framework. Connecting to our inherent, authentic vitality and wisdom is a lifelong, cumulative, imperfect journey. Your process, unique to you, is one I both honour and trust.
I have trained, been mentored, and worked as an Intern with the teaching and facilitating team of Dr. Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry. Presently, I am engaged in Somatic Experiencing International’s 3 year training program at the Advanced level, with intention to meet certification requirements in 2027.
Prior to obtaining my graduate degree and incarnation as a therapist relatively “later” in life, I’ve found expression as a professionally trained and educated actor, midwifery second attendant, birth doula, and yoga and meditation teacher.
I have special interests in
parts and ego-state work, attachment theory, and grief work. I appreciate the value of acknowledging how ancestral and collective resilience and trauma inform our healing journeys, as well as how we’re influenced by intersectional aspects of our identities and the systems we’re embedded in. I identify as an ally to 2SLGBTQA+ communities and consider naming this important as a fierce advocate for inclusion and human rights.
I am informed by my own spiritual and intuitive curiosities, and trust we all have indestructible and infinite Wisdom within us well suited to guide us home to the heart of compassion and love.
Finally, as a late- diagnosed neurodivergent individual, I am especially passionate
about learning how I can better serve in culturally sensitive, neuro-inclusive ways.
> “What I know about living
is that the pain
is never just ours.
>Every time I hurt,
I know the wound
is an echo,
>so I keep listening
for the moment the grief
becomes a window,
>when I can see
what I couldn’t see before.”
